SARS Announces Upcoming Digital Platform Upgrades
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has issued a notice to taxpayers about scheduled upgrades to its digital platforms.
As part of its Vision 2024 and broader goal to modernise systems for streamlined, digital-first services, SARS is continually working to improve the reliability, security, and availability of its technology infrastructure.
The next round of digital platform maintenance is scheduled for the following times:

Friday, 25 April 2025 from 18:00 to 22:00

Saturday, 26 April 2025 from 20:00 to 22:00
During these periods, taxpayers may experience temporary service interruptions across the eFiling, Tax, and Customs platforms.
In a statement published on its official website, SARS emphasised that these upgrades are vital to fulfilling its long-term vision of becoming a “smart, modern revenue service with unquestionable integrity.” The organisation added that ensuring robust and secure technology is key to building public trust and making compliance easier for taxpayers and traders alike.
